May 2026 Beta phase only French law applies

This document applies to the North beta phase. North is an experimental product with no incorporated legal entity at this time. By using North, you accept these terms in their entirety.

Terms of Use

Rules governing your use of North

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of North during the beta phase.

2.1 — Access to the service

North is accessible by invitation only during the beta phase. Access is free and without commitment. North reserves the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time, without notice, in particular for technical or maintenance reasons.

2.2 — Eligibility

To use North, you must:

  • Be a natural person of legal age or acting on behalf of a legally incorporated entity
  • Hold an active Google Workspace account (Gmail + Google Calendar)
  • Have explicitly consented to connecting your tools to North
  • Comply with the terms of use of Google, Slack, and Notion for the relevant integrations

2.3 — Nature of the service — Beta phase

North is an experimental product. As such:

  • Features may be changed, removed, or added without notice
  • Service interruptions may occur
  • Analyses and suggestions produced by North are AI-generated and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies
  • North does not substitute for the human judgment of the executive

Core principle

North suggests. You decide. The responsibility for any action taken on the basis of North's suggestions lies exclusively with you.

2.4 — Automated actions — Critical limitation of liability

North may generate message drafts (emails, Slack) or suggest communication actions. These drafts are deposited in your interface (Gmail Drafts, etc.) and are never sent automatically without your explicit action.

In the event that automatic sending features are introduced in future versions, they will be subject to:

  • Explicit and separate consent on your part
  • Specific documentation of associated risks
  • The ability to disable them at any time

North disclaims all liability for any unintentional sending of communications resulting from user mishandling, failure of third-party tools (Gmail, Slack), or any cause independent of North.

2.5 — Acceptable use

You agree to use North lawfully and within the scope of its purposes. In particular, it is prohibited to:

  • Use North to monitor third parties without their consent
  • Connect accounts for which you do not have the necessary rights
  • Attempt to circumvent security measures
  • Use North to collect data on third parties for non-professional purposes

2.6 — Intellectual property

North and all its components (code, algorithms, interface, prompts) are the exclusive property of their creators. No license to reproduce or commercially exploit them is granted within the beta phase.

The data you bring by connecting your tools remains your property. North acquires no rights over your data.

2.7 — Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, North shall not be held liable for:

  • Errors or omissions in the analyses and suggestions generated
  • Decisions made by the user on the basis of North's suggestions
  • Any data loss resulting from a technical failure
  • Service interruptions
  • Indirect, consequential, or intangible damages

North's total liability is limited to the amount paid by the user in the last 12 months. In the context of the free beta phase, this limit is zero euros.

2.8 — Termination

You may end your use of North at any time by contacting david@getnorth.co with a request for account deletion. Your data will be deleted within 30 days following the request.

North may revoke your access at any time in case of violation of these terms or for any other reason at its discretion.

2.9 — Amendments

North reserves the right to modify these Terms and the Privacy Policy at any time. Active users will be notified by email of any material change. Continued use of the service after notification constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

2.10 — Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to seek an amicable resolution before any legal action. Failing agreement, the dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of the jurisdiction where the data controller is domiciled.
